Farewell Friday

Well not really farewell because I'll be posting over here at our family blog The Cats P. But for my solo career, this is it. Do you think I'll be good at sharing? Um..no. I might be back here very soon, we'll have to see... Chase I can share with but Kaze? Thanks to all of my wonderful friends for making me so welcome in the blogosphere. I met my gorgeous wife Cheysuli and I even helped inspire Princess Tara to start blogging. Its been an amazing run. When I started blogging I didn't want to be touched at all ever. Now I snuggle all night long, hang out in laps, and LOVE to be brushed. Life is strage and takes many twists and turns.

Meezer Rule: When you fight, mean it!

So you all know I'm the House Hunter. Well last night I took it to a level I didn't know possible- tasting human blood (or as the Toy Man calls it "sweet monkey blood"). We were playing with the butterfly toy that Dragonheart and Merlin sent us when I caught it fare and square. Now why would I let go? I wouldn't. So he tried to pry it from my vishus jaws when I chomped on his finger and made him bleed. I ran away so fast because obviously I had not meant to do this. He however laughed and thought it was hilarious that I was so serious about a toy.

Later, I bit Meowmy's toe that she just had surgery on a few months ago. Bit it, ran, and came back 5 minutes later with food crumbs on my chin. I'm so vishus!!!!

I can't believe I'm going to have to share a blog with Chase. I mean, look how much bigger than me he is!!! But I'm a meezer, I will just have to bust my way in.

It is freezing cold around here this week- its supposed to be late Spring and the heat is on. Its so cold I have to snuggle right up near my Meowmy at night. I even purr. I just hope it gets warmer soon so I can stop purring for her and she'll stop thinking I actually like to snuggle. That's just insane. I mean, at least the Toy Man knows I'm just a heat-seeking-meezile. I like to sit in his warm spots next to him but not because I want to be touched.

Today is my last solo Meezer Monday post. Next week you will have to catch me over at Simply Siamese as the three of us are consolidating blogs to The Cats P. Due to this consolidation Chase is claiming Man Cat Mondays so I'm going to do my Meezer Monday posts on the Meezer blog. Its been a long run by myself but in the interests of continuing to blog, we've made this decision.

So DKM ROCKS!!! She sent me this GORGEOUS snuggle. Isn't it magnificent? It matches me so perfectly and I just sleep on it all of the time. That is after I finished off the home grown nip that was stashed inside. That lady sure knows her snuggles and her nip!!

Has anyone else noticed how dark I'm getting? Everyone who sees me says I'm getting to be really really dark. My chest is the only creamy area on me these days, mostly I'm rather dark-dark brown. I had more of the whole "Latte I'm going to eat you" comments this weekend. Why? Because I'm "so tasty looking". Isn't that the rudest thing you've ever heard?? My humans can be so useless.

Though my Meowmy did lots of talking on the talky box and when she does that she sits on the wood bench and I get to snuggle in her lap. Kaze tries to take lap space but its my special spot. Plus she's busy talking so she doesn't pay as much attention to me. I like minimal human involvement during snuggling.

I'm very thankful for my sisfur Kaze. She is always there to be played with or to snuggle on top of. She lets me be in charge and doesn't mind at all. I love her lots and I'm just comfortable telling her everything- she really is my best friend. Plus, she's great to take the fall whenever I decide it might be fun to nibble on something.

You can patrol your neighborhood even from inside your house. When the windows are open you must be very diligent to not let anything go past your meezer senses. This can be very exhausting so you might want to nap a bit before the windows are opened.

Just try to take my toy. Go ahead, give it a go. This is the warning look I give when I get a nice chomp on a toy and am about to run away with it human attached or not. Meowmy always laughs at me and says I'm "SOO freaking cute!" This just adds to my plan because when she's laughing she's more likely to let go of the toy.

Today is my 1 year wedding anniversary with my beautiful, smart, and world dominating, wife Cheysuli. I'm the luckiest little Man Cat in the world! I swept her away to Tahiti for the weekend. Huge mile long litterboxes....tons of flies to pounce on and no need for harnesses! Kaze kept calling which was annoying so it was nice to get away from her for a bit. It was such a wonderful time I really didn't want to come back home.

I'm just dying for some sun here! I'm so dying for some sun. This weather is cold and miserable outside. This weekend I'm going to sweep my wife Cheysuli away for a weekend in the sun in celebration of our 1 year anniversary of being married on Monday! I'm going to fly out to pick her up and then we're headed to Tahiti! She works so hard campaigning and she deserves a break!

The Zoom Groom routine

I really enjoy snuggling with my Meowmy at night and purring while she scritches my face and whisker humps. Of course I'll only give her this treat if she gives me a really good Zoom Groom before bed. I have to wait for her outside the human litterbox door after she gets all wet and smell-less. (Side note- what is it with humans and not wanting to smell? Makes no sense at all to me)

Then I romp down the hall to the sleeping room door which is closed because I Kaze steal silk flowers and tags from the trash can. So I yell at the door and look her straight in the eye. then she torments me with the "Latte!! Meeze-meeze Laaahhhhtay!" thing that she thinks I like to hear. So I amuse her and meeze. And again she makes me because she likes cat torture.

Once the door opens I run inside over to the grooming zone and have to meeze at least 5 times before she'll brush me. She's so mean. Then she brushes me while I drag myself by my front paws all over the room. I purr nice and loud to keep her lazy human hands moving.

When she's done I may reward her with some snuggling in the middle of the night. Maybe. But only if I can annoy Kaze by lying on her head at the same time.

Monopolize all play time and toys. This serves two purposes. First of all you'll have fun. Secondly, you'll make your sisfur mad and then she will scream and cry all day long and annoy the humans to play. Its a great circle that you can't ever be blamed for!

Well just as my Meowmy was getting happier something bad happened at work. Yes, even I consider it bad because it has to do with her Internet at the office. The IT genius at work is my Toy Man. Well the wall-of-fire wanted to be mean yesterday so he went in to check on it. Do you know what he found??? A STINK BUG got sucked into the intake and blew its insides all over the inside of the wall-of-fire. This brought down the website, e-mail, and Internet to the office. He then had to play hunter and find every single bug bit and wash the computer boards with rubbing alcohol. He was able to get it limping along with one cooling fan down so hopefully the Internet will be up tomorrow. If not, please understand our lack of visiting.

I wish I could have helped hunt with him. I would have eaten all of the bits! He spent all day and all night with the wall-of-fire so it should feel special. So should the rest of the employees who can't thank him as well as Meowmy can.

Well my weekend didn't start out so hot. Meowmy came home on Friday night hysterically crying for no reason. We all kind of hovered around her while she cried but no one had any idea how to make her happier. She didn't either apparently. So all day Saturday Meowmy pretty much slept....and slept....and slept some more. Well I have to tell you, it was snuggle heaven! I could always go find her and get nice and warm and cozy. Kaze was there most of the time but even being alone with my Meowmy was wonderful. Apparently just what the doctor ordered too because on Sunday she was up and about again doing all sorts of house work. I need to find a way to make her cry a lot more often. I like snuggling with her all day long!!

I am just so thrilled its the weekend! Weekends mean laundry and I really enjoying playing in warm laundry. Meowmy doesn't love this so much.

The other morning I was window hunting and my humans laughed at me because I was doing my best death call. They said it sounded like a squeak toy vibrating.

I love my front porch. Its been really nice outside and its that time of year where its still cool enough not to have to use air conditioning so we get to gain the extra room of the front porch. Its been open all weekend and I utilize it more than Chase or Kaze. I nap out here and watch birdies and squirrels and people outside of the windows. I'm very diligent in my patrols. I sure hope that sometime soon I can go back out on the lawn!!

What a great weekend after a crappy week of not visiting friends. My Meowmy was in Atlantic City all week but now she's back to work and life will be back to normal. Even though it was such a lovely weekend Out of Doors I was only allowed on the front porch because the Toy Man put pesticide on the lawn so I couldn't go out there. Just being on the front porch was really nice though. There were such great breezes and things to watch.

I am SOOOOO excited to be back to blogging! Thanks to my friends who've hung in with me waiting I truly appreciate your friendship.

What a weekend!!! Not many pictures taken but very action packed. Meowmy spent all day Saturday working in the garden. I snoopervised through the windows wherever she went. She put lots of brown stuff around the plants. She let me go outside when she was done to inspect her work. It smelled pretty interesting. I got so excited when I saw my harness!! I know I'm only allowed Out of Doors when I'm on my harness so I get all excited when I see it. The weather was so warm and there were lots of little flying critters that I pounced after.

When not Out of Doors I spent my time rearranging this blanket. Meowmy puts it here to keep our furs off of the furniture (I took care of that, I yakked a hairball right on the couch). I think its nicer looking with the corner up like this. She keeps putting it back.

Have your humans filed their taxes? My Meowmy was might annoyed that she owed 4 digits to the government this year. She said something about never getting ahead no matter what she does. The State of New Jersey never deducts enough from our humans paychecks so they owe money to the state as well. Meowmy promised that she got her taxes in and her check has been cashed already so that leaves this weekend for me! She said she's going to let me help her do some yard work this weekend. Yeah!

This was me exactly 2 years ago today. I was just a tiny kitten enjoying the Spring sun spot. Sometimes I wish I was still this kitten because my Meowmy never wanted to leave me back then. She spent hours alone with me in my isolation room and even took off days from work to stay with me while I had my cones on my head. Meowmy could do that then. Now she is all work and no fun. I wish I had my old Meowmy back. This new Meowmy is always stressed and running around and rarely home.

Even though my Meowmy went away for the weekend she still spent a lot of time with me on Saturday. She even took me outside on my harness for the first time this year! It was so wonderful. All of the Spring smells and flowers and birdies...heaven. I didn't want it to end. When she brought me inside I screamed to go back out. I can't wait until this weekend!

Oh this is just SO cool!! Do you see it fluttering around? I killed it. I killed it good. One of our bestest friends Dragonheart & Merlin (our little meezer-Sphynx friend) sent us this amazing toy! It came all the way from Germany! I think I must be a super duper destructo-meezer 'acause I was able to pull out all of the string things on the second day. In one big chomp. Meowmy was mad at me and had to tie them all back on one by one. Kaze screamed the whole time terrified that I hurted the toy.

I'm just chillaxing with Kaze. I've been really snuggly lately with my Meowmy. I know I should be punishing her but I've had second thoughts and I'm now trying to kill her with kindness. I figure by snuggling on her lap at night she is reminded that its time to pay attention to me.

It was so warm here the other day that Meowmy took me outside to get the mail with her. It smelled so nice I hope I can go out on my harness soon!

Well, I figured it was better to help Meowmy than fight her. So I decided to make sure she did a nice folding job. I have found that she needs a lot of help with towels and socks and even pants on laundry day. She needs me to tear them from her so she can chase after them.

P.S. I've been honing my whapping skills. I knocked out a basket from our coffee table and the Wii games onto the floor. I tried to hide them but it didn't work.

The is where the Man in Blue Pants doesn't put our mail. I call it my magical meezer teleporting hole instead. We have a mailbox next to our front door because this hole barely fits a letter so it just doesn't work for today's mail. Perhaps in 1927 all mail would have fit through this spot but that was 80 years ago. Things change. So I made this my meezer teleport hole which I will use today to teleport to all of the great parties!!!

I want to super-duper apologize to all of our friends. We currently have 210 unread blog posts. I am trying to catch up with everyone but as usually Meowmy's work is just crazy as she has to hire someone this week for part of her old position while doing all of her new work. We are reading and keep up but commenting is hard right now. We'll catch up soon I promise!!!

Which would work except it also can be known as DP Photobucket as it likes to pretend its uploading your files for 20 minutes but not work, oh but sometimes it does work. This, it be frustrating! On to my main rule...when you Meowmy is away at work a lot so she's handing out extra love- make sure she gives YOU lots of kisses to make your sisfur jealous.

Here is a good view of my back toes. I'm not really into bunny kicking as much as Kaze is but Chase is just such a nice big hunk-o-fur to sink your teeth and claws into. He really is the go to guy for bunny kicking wars. Unfortunately you should never pick a play fight with Chase that you aren't ready to finish because that cat is FAST. I mean, I'm pretty quick, and I can leap really high and far, but nothing compares to Chase speed. Wow!

Its the first sun porch outing of the season! That means Spring really is here. It was pouring rain but really nice and warm outside so Meowmy let us out with her while she read. It was really fun to explore and see if there were any new smells since the fall. One in particular was pine needles from the Christmas Tree (sucky monster much out there? I think not.) Meowmy just got the Toy Man's "hand me down" MacBook Pro so we're having fun playing with that. Happy Monday everyone!

What the heck is with the talky box that Meowmy puts on her ear. She talks and talks and I can ear Auntie E but can't see her. Meowmy just sits and talks to herself into the box and I have to be honest, I'm a bit worried about her sanity with this practice. I try to sit on her lap to see if I can purr her back to normal and remove the box from her ear but she just keeps jabbering. This can go on for upwards of like 3 naps or so. Kaze and I take turns purring in her lap because its just too much for one of us to handle.

The Toy Man's friend "T" stayed with us the past two nights. Normally I don't care about guests but this one......oh he's special to me. When I was a tiny-tiny 9 week old kitten I met "T" (not to be confused with our visitor from this time last year!). He's not a cat person but I snuggled and purred on him for HOURS when I was small. Meowmy is certain he's mentally not right (but in a rather intellectual way) hence the reason that I was attracted to him. I'm not sure what that means.... Anyhow, "T" brought me FRESH prochuitto from the Italian market in Philadelphia. If you like ham.....mmmmmm....this stuff was HEAVEN!!!

SPOT 14 WARNING!!!

Here is a quick flash of my hind paws. I get into lots of "Latte NO!" with my back claws because they're tasty and I like to nibble on them. I've made them bleed before. Dr. Ian yelled at me for that, he said I'm Not Allowed to be a nail bitter but what does he know? So I nibble and gnaw at them.

Isn't my tail cute? I just love to curl it! When I leap down from tables or chairs my tail is curled so far over my back it makes a THWAP noise on my back when I land.

My Meowmy has not been around a lot lately due to work. I have missed her a lot so on Saturday night I actually crawled under the blankets with her and Kaze to snuggle. I didn't even do my usual wake up at 3am thing.

Other than that it was a quiet weekend with no mid-air collisions. Don't get me wrong, we're still leaping from the dining room table into the living room and from the living room up to the landing on the stairs but we're trying to do it in the same direction.

Leap Day!

In honor of the Leap Year I'm doing a leap! OK, this is just our nightly Whirly-Bird time and I leap like this every night. If the Toy Man doesn't give us Whirly-Bird time Kaze pretty much freaks out on him. Being the Mighty Hunter than I am means that when I catch the Bird I do NOT let my jaws unlock. I am a fierce competitor for the Toy Man who says he likes to play with us so he can keep his reflexes "quick as a cat".

Especially after you play fighter-jet-cat in the air and collide three feet above the ground rocketing you into the wall where your body hitting the wall makes a pffftttt noise and your humans come running hoping that you aren't dead. Isn't my brown belly spot cute? It gets kissed A LOT. My belly is quite white except for my pits and my belly spot. Why...I'm not exactly sure but as soon as I flashy my tummy my Meowmy gets all silly and kisses it.

So, "Cat Free Night" got some rather interesting answers! I sure hope the Toy Man isn't in there wrestling with my Meowmy like some of you suggested. I didn't realize that humans wrestled. He's a lot bigger than her and he has some big teeths! Meowmy has softer areas that probably would hurt if he bunny kicked with his hind paws. I'm going to have to be more investigatory and meeze and howl and bang at the door. I hope that works!

(I'm pretty sure though that for the Toy Man, he just wanted a night of straight sleep without us waking them up around 3am like we do every night. Or he might want to actually snuggle with Meowmy instead of her cradling Kaze in her arms all night long instead of him.)

Fun with the Big Brother

Sometimes I like to play with my big brother Chase. I try to learn Man Cat things from him but he doesn't share his secrets. That's OK because I've already impressed and married the most wonderful Cheysuli. Anyhow, sometimes I like to wrestle with him as he's actually a challenge. Kaze is not a challenge. She's long and maybe a bit vicious and I'm short and compact and like a little viper cat when I want to play. Chase is a challenge but fun so sometimes I go over to him and rub under his chin and interest him in some play. He's a great Big Brother!!

Blending is a skill that should be learned over time. You must try different materials and see what works with your fur scheme. Here I am using a tan plastic bag to shield my existence to the legs that will soon pass by me. Before this photo was taken I was completely hidden under the bag (hence the reason Meowmy actually went down the stairs and back up with the camera in her PJ's). Be stealthy my friends!

Being cute has some serious advantages. Meowmy TRIED to resist my charms yesterday. We were watching the Daytona 500 and she was acting as a nice warm lap and napping spot. Then she got up for dinner. When she came back to help us blog she saw my eyeing up her lap. You know what she said to me? "No, Latte, I don't have to always do what you want me to." Are you laughing yet? I'd start if I were you. I do not take no for an answer so I started giving her the diggy paw. Dig-dig-dig on her boob region. She slowly debated batting me away but decided correctly to roll over, push the computer forward, and make room for me. Life is good.

Oh this week has been so fast!! I think I'm going to have to sleep the whole weekend away. At least we're mostly caught up on our friends since Meowmy took a 4 hour "break" from work yesterday when she helped us in the Chatzy room and we were there for Skeezix's big question to Daisy. It felt good to be back to "normal" so Meowmy is going to have to do a better job juggling work and blogging. Have a great weekend friends!!

Last Tuesday was Super Tuesday and my Meowmy made sure she went to vote. I made sure I studied all of her options. I was shocked that I did not see my wife Cheysuli's name on the sample ballot! I told my Meowmy to "write her in" but I'm not sure she complied. I sure hope so!

This cute and innocent face gets me out of a lot of trouble. Like with trash stealing. Kaze always gets blamed for the trash stealing and sometimes I like to just get her in trouble. Over the weekend I quietly snuck upstairs and tipped over the trash can in the bedroom. The Toy Man rushed upstairs totally blaming Kaze and he found me slinking out of the bedroom. Of course I'm so cute he wasn't mad at me. That's impossible. So he just called Meowmy and told her how funny I was. Its good to be a tiny cute cat!

This is a picture of when my Meowmy had her foot surgery in December. I totally loved the whole warm human under the fleece blanket thing. The blanket went away until this week when the Toy Man had his fever thing and its still hanging on the couch. Sweet!!! I just loooovvveee the comfy warmth it provides as well as the tall back of the couch for protection.

I don't know if any of you have a forbidden door that goes....well where exactly does that door go? One meezer finds out! (that would be me)

I've lived in my home for two years now and there has always been something that intrigued me. A door. What could be behind there? A room of temptations? Toys? I had to find out!

Meowmy took her ski boots upstairs and opened the forbidden door. She usually closes it right behind her but she had two boxes of ski boots and couldn't shut the door. She was up there a while and I decided it was time for me to explore.

I tentatively placed my paw on the first step. It was cold but nothing bad happened to me so I ventured on. Past some boxes on the steps I picked up some speed. Nothing scary so I might as well reach the top of the stairs quickly. At the top landing I faced a very frantic Meowmy. I flattened out and tried to find a place to hid but she was too fast and grabbed me. Darn it! I didn't even get to see the UP very much. I'll have to go back soon.

I can't help it but I really like to eat my fur after I've been Zoom Groomed. My Meowmy always snatches it away so it doesn't repeat on my later. I certainly didn't loose any brushing time while my Meowmy was away. My Zoom Groom makes me so loving. I don't really mind when my humans go away because I have my Chase to take care of me and Kaze to play with. It was really nice to snuggle with my Meowmy the past few nights 'cause she's really warm.

Yeah they're home!!!! My Meowmy and my Toy Man came home last night. I was pretty sure they weren't ever going to survive those long stick things that took them to Western Maine. Gamma came over and took care of us while they were away. Gamma knew about my Zoom Groom time which is Oh so important to me.

When Meowmy came in I was the friendliest one to her. I let her hold me and kiss me and pet me and I purred! I also crawled right in her lap for computer time. I followed her all around even up to the attic where the ski stuff lives. She yelled at me for that.

I know I got some great awards and have SO much to catch up on so please give me a few days to get back to "normal". I missed you all soooo much!!!

This is the face of a happy little meezer. I have had a lovely weekend in the sun. Meowmy brought down some WEIRD stuff from the attic that smells like snow. She tried on these funky boots that make her walk weird. That reminds me....shoes in general. Why do humans put things on their back paws?? Don't they have paw pads? Its never made sense to me. I get they wear clothes to be fashionable (well, with the Toy Man that's highly debatable) but the shoes thing I just don't get. So anyhow, these weird boots click in to these huge long stick things! Humans....can't live with 'em, but they seem to think we need them.

You want to know what I did to attract this treatment? I rubbed on his chin in a loving fashion. Sure I bought into the whole playing thing but if you biggify I think he bit my ear off!!! Chase and I don't rough-house as much as we did when I was a kitten. We both usually choose to play with Kaze in that way. I'm pretty aware that I can't take Chase down. He's gentle with me though but not with Kaze.

I know I haven't updated on Meowmy lately but its because there wasn't much to tell. All of her tests came back negative which I guess is a good thing so pretty much all the doctor can say is that she had one NASTY virus. It seems to have been going away and Meowmy ate real bean food yesterday! She was so happy. She had a hot-chocolate and her co-workers thought she was crazy when she was so happy to have it.

Meezes on Meezing

I know Siamese are known for our loud talking which we call "meezing" in our house. I however am not a very talkative cat. The talker in our house is Kaze. I think she talks more than the humans. I am more of a quiet observer of things. Sure, if Kaze is yelling a lot I'll throw in a little meeze (which sounds more like a squeak sometimes). I will meeze for Zoom Groom time for sure. I think Kaze's constant announcing of what she wants doesn't help her much at all. I find that if you keep this sort of "talent" close to your chest and use it when you REALLY want something you tend to get more of what you want.

Make sure your humans decorate your house to match you. This blanket was a lovely choice as it has cream/brown/AND blue on the underside. It is meezer approved. Having like colors makes it easier for you to be hidden when hunting toys, humans, or other cats. Blending into your surroundings is very useful.

This makes me PURRRRRR!! Every night Meowmy and I go upstairs to the snuggle room. I run run run behind her and I sit there and yell at her as many times as she asks me to. I'm not a really vocal cat so she likes me to meeze whenever she knows I will. So I meeze and meeze and then she starts to rub me with the Zoom Groom. Oh how I LOVE to be brushed!!! I purr and roll over and Meowmy knows all of the good spots.

This is about all she's managing to do that is "normal". I guess that means I have it better than poor Kaze who doesn't have her normal amounts of Meowmy time. I of course have to fill in for snuggle need. Its hard but someone has to carry the load.

The big CAT got back to Meowmy and it said her insides were normal. She however does not feel normal. She has one more test to come back and that will tell her if she has a parasite (we blame Snap if that's the case). She told me to thank you all for your purrayers. They mean a lot to her and make her feel not so alone right now. The BRATT diet is Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast (gluten free for Meowmy), and Tea. She has to drink LOTS of fluids too. The doctor seems to think this will be "self-resolving" but that doesn't mean much to Meowmy since nothing has changed.

The Toy Man and I played whirly-bird this weekend and I SO won like 50 times. I win if I catch the bird in my mouth and don't let go. He calls this my "Jaws of Death". He knows I'm the House Hunter so I don't know why he would doubt me. Other than play time it was a lot of napping. Oh, and then there was when I fell walking from the table to the counter. Meowmy all freaked out and asked if I was OK like a squillion times. I was fine, just a bit red in the face. Sheesh, you'd think I was delicate or something. (Latte honey, you ARE delicate. ~Meowmy)

Phew, this week has been ridiculous! I'm so exhausted. I'm so tired I've even been napping in the PTU. I know, right?? My Toy Man didn't know what a PTU was so Mewomy explained and now he's calling it by its rightful name. He used to all it a *gasp* cat-carrier!

Meowmy and I are pretty much snuggling together healing. I'm 100% normal now (yeah!) but Meowmy has no answers. That big CAT didn't tell her a darn thing. Apparently he only likes to talk to certain people who then have to decide to talk to others who may talk to her. She is kind of frustrated but maybe by Monday she will have some answers. Until then she's eating a BRATT diet which is just ick. Well Pixie would probably like the banana part.

I'm still getting tons of tasty foods whenever I want and everyone keeps giving me nice soft pets and hugs.

My good Dr. Ian called me yesterday. As I don't have thumbs I couldn't answer and it went to the machine that records humans talking. He told me he has no idea what happened with my first sample, it may have been a weird blood draw, or something in the machine, or who knows what. He didn't know but he is very confident that I am a-OK. I think I've lost a little weight but Meowmy is trying to fatten me up which I won't complain about.

Meowmy didn't go see that weird CAT yesterday because its a very busy CAT with lots of visitors so she's going to visit today instead. The big CAT gave her a nasty milkshake thing she has to drink right before she meets him. Do you think this is Meowmy brain sucking juice? Is the big CAT really that evil???

Phew. This week has been crazy! I am so sorry I haven't been around to visit all of my wonderful friends lately. Sadly things aren't looking up as one of Meowmy & the Toy Man's employees is leaving and now Meowmy is going to take on some seriously new and seriously time consuming stuff at the work place. But don't worry, I'll be around as much as I can!!

Always show illness at the first possible moment. This will assure that you get the most attention and you will feel better faster.

Also, if your Meowmy is sick watch her like a hawk and don't leave her side. Oh, and whatever you do, the abdomen walk is highly frowned upon as it causes Meowmy's to scream out in pain.

Meowmy has to get a CAT scan today. I'm a bit upset about this since I scan her all of the time, what can an outside cat do? Is she going to bring this other CAT home? The CAT better take good care of her and not walk on her belly or she'll get mad.

I hate to do this but Meowmy is sick. She thinks I might have even been acting so funny and gotten dehydrated because of me worrying about her. I do that, if she's sick I get really upset. Could you please send her some purrs? They think she might have something wrong with her appendix or a parasite or something else rather icky. Now she's running around to human VET's and hospitals getting tests run.

Sigh....when will this end in our house?? We're getting kind of discouraged.

Flooids Tuesday

***GOOD UPDATE****
The VET's office called and my blood results all look fine!! Oh we're doing the happy dance like crazy around here!!!!! Thank you everyone for purring with us, I know its because of your love that everything worked out. Now I just have to keep up my appetite and keep on playing. YEAH!!!!!

Of course Meowmy still wondered WHY I had zero white blood cells and since she only talked to a tech she didn't ask. She talked to her super-duper-smart friend who works with lots of blood in bovine's and she said it sounds like they had a bad sample of my blood in the vet's office test but the other sample was OK. She said they count the white blood cells with a stain from the hemocrit so maybe they messed something up there? Sigh...Meowmy never rests until she knows the WHY's of these things.

I have such a squishy layer of flooids under my belly from my sub-q flooids. They gave me lots of energy though and when I got home I ate a boatload of Temptations and a half a can of stinky goodness! Then when Meowmy came home from her bad day at work I had eaten lots of crunchies! I'm also playing with Kaze. Chase is still hissing at me.

No news at 9am. Meowmy called the vet's office and they said the results are "in his bin for call back" so we just have to wait until he calls.

Monday morning update

I was much more active through the night and the Toy Man didn't think I needed to go to the VET but Meowmy knew better. I had a couple of bites of stinky goodness and off to the VET I went.

In a lucky turn of events my Dr. Ian saw me!! He knows me and I trust him. He thought I looked great and gave Meowmy some appetite pills for me to have. My temp is normal. Then they stole some blood. Meowmy and I waited and waited and waited and waited in the waiting room. Woofies came in a lot.

Then Dr. Ian called us back for the results. I have no white blood cells and my hemocrit is high. He ran the test twice and is now sending it to an outside lab too. It could be the "C" word or a number of other things so we're trying not to panic yet. But I'll tell you, Meowmy's forte is NOT staying calm when I'm not normal. To say she's freaking out with no real results but bad blood values is an understatemtn.

I did get some fluids so I'm better hydrated now. The VET is going to call Meowmy tonight with the results of the 3rd blood test. Chase is hissing at me because I smell funny and Meowmy has to go back to work now. I guess we just have to wait and see. I'm not allowed to have my appetite pills yet but at least I'm hydrated.

Not feeling so hot

I know that with everything going on now is not the time for me to feel icky. But I do. Its been a rough weekend and while Meowmy noticed I've been "puffy" and more snuggly and just quiet the Toy Man noticed I am not really into playing. I won't even leap after the Whirly-Bird. And then there's the matter of me not eating. I'll eat a few licks of stinky goodness from a spoon but after that not so much. Oh and I'm dehydrated so Meowmy is "forcing fluids" which mean shoving syringes of water down my throat.

Of course its Sunday now and the VET isn't open until tomorrow. Plus Monday's Dr. Ian isn't in and I really try to see only him as he knows me so well. But the pretty little girl VET is cool too and she knows me so hopefully I can get an appointment with her tomorrow. Whenever Meowmy calls and says "Hi its Latte...." they always get me in ASAP.

***Sunday evening update***
I've eaten about 2 teaspoons of stinky goodness in 2 days and I'm down to not even eating Temptations.

Since I've been being a nicer meezer and demanding lap time from my Meowmy she's been getting a bit cheeky and actually pushing me off!! She says I get in the way of her helping us blog because I don't curl up, I lie vertically on her lap. Well anyway, I keep going back and eventually she relents and puts the computer down. Last night I even crawled under the covers with Meowmy and Kaze. Its warm under there but I don't want to spend the whole night there.

As I was sitting on Meowmy's lap watching the cursor I heard a HUGE thunder noise as Kaze & Chase ran past. I quivered in fear because I could not see them because of the computer screen. Luckily my Meowmy protected me and all was OK.

Now on to my awards! I was very honored to receive 3 awards this week! My loving wife Cheysuli bestowed upon me the award which Yao-Lin created.
I would like to pass this award on to Jake & Bathsheba. They don't always get to post as much as they would like but they are some of my most special caring friends.

Then Parker bestowed upon me the Thinking blogger Award. I really appreciate that as I make her think how cute I am. I seem to have that affect.Sammy & Miles always make me think about if I'm doing the most meezerly things I can be doing.

my Meowmy came over to me and put me on the banister. Now being a royal meezer and the husband of a Presidential candidate I could not loose my composure. I was unsure about how to react. I knew I was kind of trapped but I also knew Meowmy does not like to see me suffer. So I sat there. And sat there....and sat some more. Then the look came out. Acting as if I could have cared less she placed me back on the ground. With a brief tail flick all was normal again.

I'm STILL getting darker

I think I've mentioned before that meezer fur gets darker when its cold (tail, ears, paws) and creamier on the warmer areas. Our fur colors are also affected by age and ambient temperatures. Here you see a picture of me last June (as far back as Meowmy has pictures on this computer). First of all I was in heaven Out of Doors. Secondly you can see I'm quite creamy looking.
And here I am now. As I make my Meowmy write this for me she is staring at my furs as I sit in her lap and saying "Latte, you have gotten so dark!" Its true, I'm really becoming rather dark. My back is rally mostly brown now.

I love weekends because they mean lots of warm laps. During the week I have to settle for a snuggle with Kaze when I'm cold but when the Toy Man and Meowmy are home I can sit on their laps. My sweetness can really no longer be denied as I now come to snuggle when I'm called. I used to always come when called but now if I'm called up to a lap I go and snuggle. Petting is nice! Scritches on your chin feel good! I can't believe all I've been missing. I though humans were relatively useless besides feeding and litter cleaning.
