Lots of cleaning this weekend which included our litter boxes. She always starts with the one upstairs and if I happen to notice what she's doing I have to be the first one to claim the pristine crystals. She even helps me by telling me to go ahead before she closes the bag. There is nothing better than a clean litterbox and an attendant to clean it out right after you. Meowmy wonders how just having a clean box can make me have to go but she's just a stupid human who doesn't understand much at all.

A clean litterbox is our signal to pee on the floor right in front of it, right before Mom has to go to work. heh heh

Ah, you're so right Latte! There's little in life better than a clean litter box and being the first to use it! :) Well other than a full dish of stinky goodness and being the first to eat it! A fresh pile of 'nip and being the first to snort it! ;)

Ollie is the one who's always first in the clean box in our household. The other 2 don't seem to care as much about a cleaned box.

My mom wonders the same thing, Latte, since I always have to use the litterbox right after she has cleaned it. Humans really don't understand us cats, do they?

I think lots of kitties will cross their legs and clench their buttocks for as long as possible in anticipation of clean litter. That certainly seemed to be the case with the cats who owned me:) xxx
There's no way for the beans to anticipate when our nature call will occur and most kitties cannot resist the urge to use a newly cleaned litterbox. It's simple really - but they just don't get it!

I do the same thing! And when my Mommie is cleaning the box, I try to crawl up her back and jump in the box before she is even done!

I LOVE the kleen litterbox. I am always right thare the minit it gits kleened and then I use it rite away!
We feel the same way about our litterboxes. Nowm we each have our own ("LC: I got two inna basement - cause The Big Thing doesnt go down there as often" an Skeeter: I has 1 upstairs cause I doesn't like stairs very much).
But we sure develop a desire to use a new-clean one...

Surprisingly enough, we don't have that syndrome here.
Our similar phenomenon involves puking on something immediately after the same item has been washed, dried and replaced to its previous pre-puke position.
Bedding, couch covers, tablecloths.
Those are preferred targets around here.

hehehe, Latte! I am the same way as you! I snoopervise Momma cleanin our boxies and whatefur boxie she's workin on is the one I start to try to use but I know if she's got more boxies to clean I might wanna use them, so I've gotta hold my pee or poo until she kleans the furry last one and then I USE IT! It's fun to play litterboxie games with our beans!

Hey, when daddy is "mining for gold" in our litterboxes, we are hang around real close....so that as soon as he puts in fresh litter, we are there to use it!! We don't care if we just went...we have to go again!
I always make sure to win out on this one...that way, Donny HASTA clean up after me...hehe!
