Meezes on Meezing

I know Siamese are known for our loud talking which we call "meezing" in our house. I however am not a very talkative cat. The talker in our house is Kaze. I think she talks more than the humans. I am more of a quiet observer of things. Sure, if Kaze is yelling a lot I'll throw in a little meeze (which sounds more like a squeak sometimes). I will meeze for Zoom Groom time for sure. I think Kaze's constant announcing of what she wants doesn't help her much at all. I find that if you keep this sort of "talent" close to your chest and use it when you REALLY want something you tend to get more of what you want.

Hmmmmmmm......I agree...kind of like the boy who cried wolf....save those meezes (cries) for when you really need them.

I like your points.

I think I am not quiet cat.
Sometimes I talk too much and michico will stare at me, and I stop. But I will go to her and directly to her ear to sing~

I hardly ever talk and I get everything I want. Miles, well, he just hollers ALL the time and it doesn't werk for him either - Sammy

We only talk when we need to tell Mom that she is wrong about something, or if she hasn't fed us in a timely manner.

Maybe you should start a weekly feature - Meezing on _______________(fill in the blank with the topic of your choice). That would be very good, and you would be well practiced to help Chey do her state of the union address when she becomes prez.

I do hope that you will meeze back to the former President if he starts talking about me the way he talks about Obama.

Very wise words dear Latte.

Has your Meowmie had the rest of her test results back yet? I worry about her, it's not nice having a hurty tummy and having to eat a strange diet:) xxx

Very clever, Chase! In our house, Ollie is the talker. He meows very loudly and insistently. Mr. Chen likes to keep his meows close to his heart and use them judiciously, too.

That's a good rule. You look very thoughtful today, Latte.

I'm not very chatty either, so when I do have something to say, Mom pays attention! That comes in very handy at times!

Huggy Bear is really our only talker, and he only talks when he can't find mom and dad. I save my talking for special occasions.

Very wise, Latte! A good observation. That is a lovely picture of you as well.

I hope your mommy is feeling better.

Latte, I can tell you have given this a lot of thought. Save your meezing for important occasions to get the most impact!

I'd tend to agree with you, Latte. If you don't usually say much, people listen more when you pick your spots to meeze.

That's a good photo of you, too. Intense eyes, like you're following prey.

I'm a quiet cat too - but when I do talk Mommy gets soooo happy!

This is a very good point. Momma pays alot more attention to my mews then Empress' maus maus's because she likes to just sing! I mew when there's something really important. ~Queen Snickers

I agrees, I'm a silent meezer and I rarely talk. Only sometimes do I speak up and it's usually for no reason at all. Mommy tries to gets me to talk but I just look at her funny.
