The odd smells are back!!!

This is Meowmy doing what she loves (they are flying in the air!). This is our horse, her name is Make it Snappy but we call her Snap. She's a cranky *female dog*. Meowmy calls her that a lot. She's a chestnutthoroughbredmare (she says that like its a BAD word) who is 6 years old and she used to be a racehorse. Snap and Meowmy usually work every night after she comes home from her day job. That means that Meowmy doesn't get home until at least 8:30PM. In the winter we have lots more Meowmy time because she doesn't go out to work with Snap as much.

Tonight Meowmy started smelling weird again. I sniffed and sniffed and tail twitched and sniffed some more. I was having trouble figuring out why she was sitting on the floor (she doesn't like getting the couch "horsey") and then I rememberd what all of those smells mean! It smells like hay and grain and dust and HORSE!!

I like when Meowmy rides because she gets happy and excited and she's much more fun to be around. That is when she has a good ride....the bad rides make her crabby. Anyway, its been 4 weeks since she's ridden and she was so much more relaxed tonight. I guess Snappy loves Meowmy too as she hugs her with her head (I'm not sure how that works...kind of like a head butt? But wouldn't that mean she knocked Meomwy over???) I'm glad Snappy loves Meowmy and takes good care of her because she could really hurt her if she wanted to. Yeah for Snappy!

Oh, and she's a Vishus Deer Repelent! She's stood up to big deer and protected Meowmy.

Oh Snap, you are beautiful. Momma is laughing because her yoga instructor has a horse that's probably a kindred spirit. He is a thoroughbred and he's got personality--but he's really bonded with his human! Still, he's a bit quarky--momma almost said like a Siamese but then she remember who she was talking to!

Snap is a beautiful horse and your mom is beautiful too!

My mom says your mom is very lucky to have a horse. My mom loves horseback riding (hunter seat and dressage) but she has to settle for riding lessons once a week. She says she would love to own a horse. Hopefully when she's done with her studies, she be able to lease one, because she really loves riding.

I think that horses kinda wrap their big ole necks around beans...and maybe they nuzzle them a little with their horse lips.

Snap is quite beautiful. Horsey smells are good.

My pet human is also owned by a palomino named Hollywood.

She rides western now, but she used to have a Saddlebred and she rode saddleseat.

Here's a hug for you Latte! I know you only like being cuddly if it's your choice, but I'm sure you won't mind a hug from a friend.

You can find out about the hugs at Mu Shue's blog Although since Kaze hugged me, you probably already know all about the hugs.

Both your Meowmy and Snap look very sleek and slim. What a nice picture! I think I'd be scared, though, because Snap looks like those legs could cover a lot of ground in a small amount of time.

Snap looks like a furry nice horse. Our mum laffed about the Chestnut mare an said they haf got a bad reputation which is usually deserved. She looks after 10 horses furr people, and when she comes in, she duzn't smell of hay and grain. She smells of poop and things, and we say "Mum get in that shower cuz you make us show our teeth smelling like that"
