Monday morning update

I was much more active through the night and the Toy Man didn't think I needed to go to the VET but Meowmy knew better. I had a couple of bites of stinky goodness and off to the VET I went.

In a lucky turn of events my Dr. Ian saw me!! He knows me and I trust him. He thought I looked great and gave Meowmy some appetite pills for me to have. My temp is normal. Then they stole some blood. Meowmy and I waited and waited and waited and waited in the waiting room. Woofies came in a lot.

Then Dr. Ian called us back for the results. I have no white blood cells and my hemocrit is high. He ran the test twice and is now sending it to an outside lab too. It could be the "C" word or a number of other things so we're trying not to panic yet. But I'll tell you, Meowmy's forte is NOT staying calm when I'm not normal. To say she's freaking out with no real results but bad blood values is an understatemtn.

I did get some fluids so I'm better hydrated now. The VET is going to call Meowmy tonight with the results of the 3rd blood test. Chase is hissing at me because I smell funny and Meowmy has to go back to work now. I guess we just have to wait and see. I'm not allowed to have my appetite pills yet but at least I'm hydrated.

Trip to the VET Meezer Rule Wednesday

Apparently it was time for my yearly exam. Great. On the ride over I was stuck in the PTU with Chase. That was OK. When we got to the office Meowmy took me out on my harness so I got to hang out and have everyone say how gorgeous I am. The VET man didn't expect to see me but was excited because he loves me. He even scratched my itchy butt spot. But then he stood me up on my hind legs and made me dance. So humiliating. They took me in the back and stoled my bloods but no pricks. I don't get pricks because I have horrible reactions to them. I'm mostly healthy except I have stomatis (just like Kaze). So now I have to do pulse antibiotics with Kaze to see if it helps my gums. We meezers are really prone to stomatis so its not really a surprise.

I told everyone at the office to vote for me on Catster! They were all very excited for me.

The worst part of it was when I got shoved back in the PTU with Chase. He tried to KILL me. I was askeered and Meowmy almost had to grab me out but she yelled at him and he stopped.

It wasn't so bad and I like being a bit of a celebrity at the office. As long as they don't put me under again!

Meezer Rule: When being forced to go to the VET always bring a sibling so you look like a super star when your sibling poops on the techs.

Does this look fair to you?

(This was last week when Kaze went in for her shots because on Saturday they made her go alone.)

There is something wrong with this picture. That something wrong is that I'm in the PTU WITH Kaze. Does it make sense that I have to go to the VET with her? Sure everyone was happy to see me and Dr. Ian said I'm welcome to come for a visit anytime I want. Except I didn't want to go for a visit. Whenever I go for a visit that means I get poked and proded and then kissed and told how cute I am. Of COURSE I'm cute, I don't need a professional opinion on that one.

Kaze is such a terror to be in a PTU with. She screams and screams and yells and merfs all over the place. But still, I'd rather be with her knowing she's OK. I really do get upset when I can't find her. She needs me to look out for her and take care of her.

Meezer Tuesday?

Meowmy was at the VET's office on Saturday dropping off some of Kaze's poo and my VET came out to say hi to her. He said he found the Tale of Devotion I wrote for him for Skeezix's contest. I think Meowmy was a little embarassed but I'm not sure why, I think she should be proud that I'm so smart and came up with such a great tribute.

I went strolling this weekend! It was so nice out and I was begging to go out so they took me on a ride to the river. I like going down to the river its really interesting and there are always lots of rabbits and birdies and squirrels and stuff along the way. I was so happy after my stroll I walked around the house yelling. I'm not much of a talker but I was feeling very chatty so I decided to tell everyone how I felt!

I got my blood test last night. The one that means I don't need to get any more vaccines. The vet man gave my Meowmy a "Get out of Gym" note as he called it. Apparently Meowmy has to give it to the Boro. (Meowmy told me to keep quite but she doesn't register us because we're indoor only cats and its a waste of money). I gave the tech girl (they're like my adoring fan club) trouble taking blood from my neck so they had to take it from my back leg. Meowmy chatted with the VET while they did that. I didn't even have to see the VET, they just put me in my carrier and then the VET put treats in there with me. He said I'm "SO cute!". I know he loves me. They all do. I'm cute!

Update on my wish list re: Chey. We're chatting a little on the side but because of her up coming election she can't really get "involved". That's cool, I mean, she is a big time political star and all and I would never do anything to jeapordize a Meezer in office for 2008!

I saw the PTUs and knew it couldn't be good. Off we went and I yowled the whole time in the Grey Machine. The Chip Man thinks its hilarious so he meows back to me. Whatever, I knew we were going to see Dr. Ian. Now, I love Dr. Ian. He loves me. He kisses my sweet meezer fur and I let him. He's even more of a giant than the Chip Man but I do like him because he honestly loves me. BUT he does stick bad things in my body. Like needles. And thermometers.

As I figured all of the techs were thrilled to see me and how big I've gotten. I was a little scared, I huddled to Meowmy shaking a little. But once I saw Dr. Ian I was OK. I weigh 8.3 lbs. Mewomy thinks I am "bite sized". I had to have my FVRCP booster and next year I'll get a titer and not have to have a shot. Dr. Ian even warmed up the shot so it wouldn't be cold when he injected it. I have to go back in 3 weeks for my rabies shot. Everyone is really really worried about that since they still don't know why my femur was infected and the only thing that went into my right hind was the rabies shot.

Basically it wasn't too bad but I was happy to get home. We're all on antibiotics to clear up the Herpes flare up (thanks Kaze) but they don't taste too bad. I'm pretty sleepy because of my shot and I didn't finish all of my breakfast and I'm a little "fluffy" which means I'm not feeling my best.

Dr. Ian told us he made a new website for the office (he did it himself!). He's very funny, the picture captions are great.
