Giving my Meowmy a nice gift & awards

Since I've been being a nicer meezer and demanding lap time from my Meowmy she's been getting a bit cheeky and actually pushing me off!! She says I get in the way of her helping us blog because I don't curl up, I lie vertically on her lap. Well anyway, I keep going back and eventually she relents and puts the computer down. Last night I even crawled under the covers with Meowmy and Kaze. Its warm under there but I don't want to spend the whole night there.

As I was sitting on Meowmy's lap watching the cursor I heard a HUGE thunder noise as Kaze & Chase ran past. I quivered in fear because I could not see them because of the computer screen. Luckily my Meowmy protected me and all was OK.

Now on to my awards! I was very honored to receive 3 awards this week! My loving wife Cheysuli bestowed upon me the award which Yao-Lin created.
I would like to pass this award on to Jake & Bathsheba. They don't always get to post as much as they would like but they are some of my most special caring friends.

Then Parker bestowed upon me the Thinking blogger Award. I really appreciate that as I make her think how cute I am. I seem to have that affect.Sammy & Miles always make me think about if I'm doing the most meezerly things I can be doing.

Tamra Maew bestowed the Bloggers of the World award. I really like this one because I love that we have friends all over the world.
I would like to pass this award on to Boy. He's a true worldly blogger!

Tattle Tail Tuesday

Today Meowmy is getting a tattle that she would really rather me not share. Yesterday she FINALLY bathed herself. Do you want to know how long she went? FOUR DAYS. She was so stinky it was hard to snuggle with her. She also looked like she was run over by a truck. I am really happy to report that she now smells clean and is not writing in pain from yakking or her foot throbbing out of control. I think we're on our way to getting our normal Meowmy back.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words for her (not that she deserved them, I mean, not watching our games and laughing? Actually *gasp* wishing she didn't have cats!!!- I'll just let her go on this due to the "narcotic"). I guess we're going to have to wait to repay her until she is more able- she's hobbling around with no regard for tails! We're supposed to be around more and she's trying to go to work on Wednesday.

I've got my eye on you!

A little known job of mine is that I am the family comforter. While house hunting is and always will be my most important job- comforting can be quite important too. I know my Meowmy is askeered about tomorrow so I went over to her and sat on her lap. Its really a compulsion I have, not something I consciously decide to do. Something flips in my brain and I have to go take care of a sad or hurty human. I really wish this wasn't my job and I have long thought some chip was installed in my head that made me be nice even when I don't want to. Sigh...its going to be a LONG weekend.....

I just hope I'm paid in temptations. Up front.

Meezer & Meowmy Monday

Meomwy was home with us all day on Sunday. Snap yanked a shoe off of her foot standing still so Meomwy didn't have to go to the barn. I find her to be quite snuggly on weekend afternoons and I pinned her like this for about 20 minutes. The Chip Man though it was quite cute and took a picture. It was just Meowmy and me, no Kaze, no Chase, just the two of us. I've been working on her zoom-groom training and its going well. First thing in the morning and last thing at night I get a quick brushing. I like when Meowmy is around more. I hear she only has to work 3 days this week! She said that means blogging might be kind of interesting but I am just thankful to have her at home.

Meezer Monday

This Temptation-Bird is MINE!!! Just try to have me release my jaws of death. I doubt you could do it. The Chip Man has trouble getting it from my mouth. I don't know what he expects, I have jaws of death on the regular Whirly-Bird, he adds a Temptations and all bets are off.

You know how I have that fool proof plan of annoying the humans and then hidding under the bed in the middle so they can't get me? Well I think they might be winning. Not for lack of me trying though, they put more of their crap under the bed. Actually, its more of Meowmy's stuff. She has all of her riding clothes under there and now she keeps all of her 48 pairs of dress shoes under there. How on earth does a human need shoes? Let alone 48 pairs of JUST dress shoes? I think she's crazy.

Meezer Monday

Yes, yes I know I'm fairly handsome. And yes, I realize that the wall was in fact painted to match my eyes. Yup, the world revolves around me. That is why I figured I'd let Meowmy feel a little special this weekend and snuggle with her. Really it was because it was FREEZING not snuggling but to her, I think it keeps her under my paw. As long as every now and then I give her a little bit of love I make out in the end. Yes I realize that purring in her face and snuggling on her chest makes her think I've changed but its just because I'm cold. But hey, keeping her happy keeps me fed and warm and stuff.

Little Duckies!

Look what Meowmy saw when she was at the barn visiting Snappy! She said they ran right in front of the car and she had to stop and she had the camera so she figured she'd get out and take a picture to show me. Aren't they really cute? They do look a little tasty but Meowmy said that they are not tasty little snacks. I hope the little duckies take care because there are nine turkey vultures that live out at the barn.

Turkey vultures are HUGE birds with nine foot long wing spans! They sit on the rail of the track and scare the young horses when they are learning how to run really fast. If I saw one of those birds I know I'd run really fast becuase it would probably try to eat me!!

Nice finger....

Nice Meowmy...put your paw in the shot. I just can't catch a break here can I? I mean, its hard enough to get a good picture of me and you have ruin it by putting your ugly human paw in the shot. I'm sick and tired of the flashy box in the first place so it serves you right to ruin a perfectly good picture.

Well I guess you could just use Photoshop.....but then I couldn't yell at you for being a stupid human, and that is more fun to me. Now if you give me some Temptations I may consider forgiving you. But probably not. Still...Temptations would be nice.

Torture on Thursday!

Oh. My. Gosh! I got trapped in the human litter box room!! Meowmy turned the raining thing on and I went to get a drink from the fresh water. Usually I have plenty of time to scatter before Meomwy closes the door but this time she trapped me! It was so scary I ran behind the human litter box to hide. Then she coaxed me out by telling me about the bath mat bugs. Well I HAD to hunt them....

Then she got under the raining thing and I sat inbetween the sink and the cabinet. Since I couldn't see her and I was scared to come out I YOWLED at the top of my lungs. She looked out at me and I sniffed in her general direction. She didn't smell very good (kind of flowery) so I ran over to the door and gave her my best "you're torturing me" stare! She didn't get it and she made me stay the WHOLE TIME!!! It was the worst thing that has happened to me since I hurt my tail.

Meowmy says I have to tell everyone when I was a tiny kitten I used ot like sitting in the towel basket while she was showering. Every night she used to take me in there with her and I'd watch from a distance. I don't remember doing this however and I must have been CRAZY because I just don't think I could have ever done that.

Oh, and Kaze did a tribute to me today, check it out!

Tired Thursday!

I've been so busy watching the Robins outside the window that I've been exhausted! I also was very busy waking Meowmy up by pawing at her at 5am so I really need my sleep now. She's started doing that thing she does where she gets up early and goes to that place where she comes back smelling like sweat and disinfectant. I don't like it but its nice to see her up earlier. But still.....its the Robins who are keeping me up the most. I'm convinced one is going to come through the window and I'll be able to catch it!

Thanks for the purrs for Snap. She is doing so much better and went for a gallop with Meowmy out in the field last night. She used to be a race horse so she's pretty fast. Meowmy was smiling.

My future wife Cheysuli tagged me for a meme!
Five Reasons Why I Blog:

1. I need to express to the world my inner feelings because I don't talk too much. I find writting much easier!

2. I like to have a record of my life and times and especially pictures of me doing my thing.

3. I love love love my friends I've met while blogging. It gives me such a great perspective on the whole world!

4. OK, without helping me blog Meowmy would be bored stiff at work all day long.

5. I love learning new things about my blogging friends. For one thing I get great ideas on things like strollers and Temptations and Whirly-Birds. All of those things would not be in my life without blogging.

So, now I need to tag 5 others.

Sometimes the smallest cat packs the biggest punch

I was running around playing last night when I flew off the final landing of the stairs and landed right on Meomwy's foot. I mean I LANDED! I admit I was moving quickly and flying fast. She screamed so loud that I got really scared and hid under the table. The Chip Man yelled at her for yelling. Apparently one of my hind claws went into her foot and now its all swollen and hurty. She can't believe that the smallest cat in the house caused so much pain. I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to hurt her but I didn't expect her to be there! Later I went up and sat next to her on the couch and I rested my chin on her leg. She thought it was adorable so I guess she isn't mad.

In other news if you could spare a few purrs for our horsie Snap I'd really appreciate it. She just had her spring shots and she had a similar bad reaction like I have to shots. She was lying down and in pain and her neck is all swollen. The horse VET said she'll be OK, she just needs some horse asprin and hot compresses on her neck. Her neck is all twitchy and she kept resting her head on Meowmy when she was compressing her.

I Made it!!! Part I.

Today is special for me so I've decided to snuggle on Meowmy's lap and tell you this story. And yes, I am actually snuggling on her lap and she's letting me click the mouse button! A year ago I was a very sad little meezer. I know many of you know the story but I wanted to tell it again so that I can remember how sick I was and how much Meowmy & the Chip Man love me.

On a cold snowy day while I was munching on some tulips from a memorial service for the Chip Man's grandmother, Meowmy noticed I was sitting with my right hind leg kicked out kind of funny. I was almost 6 months old so I was still a tiny little meezer. I had just had my hoohaectomy a couple of weeks before. I seemed OK for the most part but I was sitting really weird. Days went by and I started to limp. It was very hurty for me to use that leg but I didn't understand why. Meowmy and the Chip Man though I had attempted an acrobatic feat and had fallen from the top of the armoire in the dining room which was moved because they were painting.

They decided to put me into isolation for a few days to "keep me quite". I was getting worse rapidly so Meowmy called the VET. (Kaze is now crashing my lap party and lying on Meowmy's typing arm) She took me in to see "Doc" the vet who had seen her family's cats since grandma got her first cat, a Siamese named Bo in the 70's. Doc agreed with Meowmy, she thought I had injured my "hock" (Meowmy is familiar with horse injuries because horses are so fragile and she's seen a lot of stuff happen to them). The hock is your hind "knee", the joint that bends the opposite way than human knees. He took an x-ray just to be safe and it was a digital x-ray. The image didn't look right but the Doc thought it was just a weird development or something. I was sent home to rest and call back in 3 days. Two days later (actually March 15th) I was much worse. Meowmy called the VET's office and our usual vet, Dr. Ian was in the office. He reviewed my x-rays and called Meowmy. He wanted her to bring me in right away as the image was NOT normal and he was very worried.

Meowmy rushed home and brought me to the vet (the Chip Man came too). Dr. Ian showed them the picture on his computer and showed them how my femur looked fuzzy and moth eaten. This is not a very common thing to have happen and Dr. Ian was perplexed as to what was causing it. He though maybe I had a fungal infection. Some of you who live in other areas of the country might have to worry about this but here in NJ we don't have fungal infections for the most part and they usually happen to woofies. He prescribed some antifungals that had to be ordered because the pharmacy didn't have it.

That night I was shaking and just sitting on Meowmy. She was really worried about me so she called Dr. Ian back and he personally gave her directions to the ER vet in Langhorne, PA. There was no point in going to our local ER because they couldn't do the bone biopsy I was going to need. The drive over I was a good little meezer and I didn't meeze much but I did enough to let them know I was still with them. We saw the triage VET and my records had been sent over and Meowmy brought the disc with my x-rays. The triage VET said I need to stay over night and have a bone biopsy as there was no easy explaination about what was wrong with me.

Meowmy went home and cried. A lot. Chase told me about it. She was hysterical and felt like she was failing me, her first kitten. The kitten she had waited for her entire life. She waited not so patiently to hear from the next VET in the morning. The next VET said I was going to need the biopsy but that I was resting comfortably. Meowmy swallowed hard at the cost and told them to go ahead.

Next they came and collected me and made me go to sleep. The VET had a Scotish accent and he said he was my Dr. Ian's professor when he went to UPenn. He said he was very good and he would help me if he could. I went to sleep for an hour and a half!!! That is a LONG time for a little kitten. They drilled 3 holes in my femur and then sewed me up with 2 sutures. I was very very woozy after my surgery. I just couldn't completely wake up. Meowmy called every 2 hours to see if I could come home yet. The VET wanted me to stay another night but it was just too expensive considering they had no idea what my treatment would be.

Meowmy came to take me home and she kept me in the PTU in their room so that I couldn't fall around and hurt myself since I was still feeling my anestisia. If I was allowed to move around I couldn't really walk. Meowmy didn't sleep a wink that night because she kept checking on me. She was worried that I might just fade away in the night.

The next morning Meowmy stayed home from work to be with me. I was in so much pain I really didn't want to move at all. I didn't want to eat or drink or do anything but lie in the sun.

I think I'll stop there as this is getting long. I'll tell you the rest soon!

The odd smells are back!!!

This is Meowmy doing what she loves (they are flying in the air!). This is our horse, her name is Make it Snappy but we call her Snap. She's a cranky *female dog*. Meowmy calls her that a lot. She's a chestnutthoroughbredmare (she says that like its a BAD word) who is 6 years old and she used to be a racehorse. Snap and Meowmy usually work every night after she comes home from her day job. That means that Meowmy doesn't get home until at least 8:30PM. In the winter we have lots more Meowmy time because she doesn't go out to work with Snap as much.

Tonight Meowmy started smelling weird again. I sniffed and sniffed and tail twitched and sniffed some more. I was having trouble figuring out why she was sitting on the floor (she doesn't like getting the couch "horsey") and then I rememberd what all of those smells mean! It smells like hay and grain and dust and HORSE!!

I like when Meowmy rides because she gets happy and excited and she's much more fun to be around. That is when she has a good ride....the bad rides make her crabby. Anyway, its been 4 weeks since she's ridden and she was so much more relaxed tonight. I guess Snappy loves Meowmy too as she hugs her with her head (I'm not sure how that works...kind of like a head butt? But wouldn't that mean she knocked Meomwy over???) I'm glad Snappy loves Meowmy and takes good care of her because she could really hurt her if she wanted to. Yeah for Snappy!

Oh, and she's a Vishus Deer Repelent! She's stood up to big deer and protected Meowmy.

Snugglin'

I was snugglin' with Meowmy last night while we were watching TV. Usually I hate to be near a person that could touch me or kiss me or pick me up but last night I was feeling snuggly. So I jumped up in her lap and started playing with the touch pad. It annoyed her a bit because I started changing the pages around on her. Of course Kaze jumped up and had to snuggle with us too. She pinned Meowmy's arm down so she couldn't even type. It was nice for a while, we were all just peaceful and loving and it was a very "Zen Moment". Of course I had to leave eventually and play with my red ribbon so I got up and started playing around a bit. Then of course Kaze left and stole my ribbon. What exactly does she not understand about personal space? She's such a little brat and she thinks whatever I'm doing she can do. Of course, she almost leapt into the toilet when Meowmy got up.....sadly Meowmy slammed the lid shut. That would have been hilarious!!!! Sadly Meowmy interfered and saved her.

I miss Meowmy

Sigh...................................

Meowmy? Do you still love me? I know I don't like to be touched a whole lot but you know I like to purr into your face at night. I haven't seen you at all this week. Monday you went out to the Chip Man's parent's house. Tuesday you spent the night at the gym. Last night you went to Aunt E's house for a jewelry party. And tonight I hear you're going out dress shopping??? When are you going to stay at home?? You went on vacation and abandoned me and now you're never home. And what's with not helping me visit my blogging friends? I really could care less about your project (except for the sparkly parts, those are fun). Do you think maybe tomorrow night we could have some play time? I've taken to having to visit you in the human litter box room just to get my back scritches. Please come back to me Meowmy. If you don't I'm going to move in with Cheysuli because she's always there for me and her human sounds like she's at home more often.

Update: Meowmy has lots of wonderful friends on one of her forums called SICC (the Siamese Forum). She just read some horrible news that one of the kitties named Ozzie, he was a gorgeous blue young Tonk died suddenly last night. Meowmy felt like she knew this kitty so she is very sad. Goodbye Ozzie, you will be missed greatly. Safe journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

Cricket Cat....ATTACK!!

Sometimes Meowmy calls me her "cricket cat" because I can leap straight up in the air and go really really high. I only do it if I'm about to pounce on another cat so it takes a lot of concentration and the right elements. Last night Meowmy was reading (again). That interferes with Kaze & I getting snuggled for the night so after my usual 2 attempts to nicely suggest Meowmy PUT THE BOOK DOWN!! I decided to just play until she was done. I crouched in the pile of her shoes (um...closet anyone?), set my sights on Kaze, wiggled my butt....waited...wiggled my butt some more, got my eyes wide, my ears flat, and then.....I LEAPT!! I jumped so high that I litterally cleared the bed and Meowmy couldn't believe what she saw. She says I have very good form and I tuck my front legs really nicely so that if I was a horsey I'd win lots of ribbons.

Later I lay on top of Kaze and annoyed her some more. She doesn't like when I sit like a brick on her head so she can't breath. I won! By the time we got kicked out of the snuggle room I had made my way to the middle of the bed and right in front of Meowmy. I'm winning the war my friends!
